5 Stars Great price and performance
I’ve had this vacuum for 10 mos. now and am still very pleased. I have two Golden Retrievers who shed a lot and I needed a powerful vacuum.I compared products, including vacuums especially for pets. I read the reviews on here and decided to give it a try. The roller and the hose have strong suction and gets their fur up off the carpet and rugs. It also works better for the car than my shopvac. My mother-in-law just asked me last night if I’d still recommend it, and I would. She’s planning to buy one too! Great machine and the low price makes it a bargain.

5 Stars This sucker is awesome
Yep, for $75 it cleans my whole place and does a darn good job of it too. Hardwood floors and thick carpeting … no problem. Purchased based on other reviewers. Everybody else was absolutely right. This is one heck of a deal on a very good vacuum. I did have a bit of a hard time installing two of the screws (it comes partly disassembled and it will take 15 minutes or so to initially assemble), which appear to be mis-sized. I’m sure I’m just missing something and will take a closer look when I get a chance. For now it’s working great though.

5 Stars tempo vac
We have used it a few times and we are very impressed. Light weight with good power whats not to like. For the price of this vacuum we feel like we made a great purchase.

4 Stars Hoover vacuum
It kept breaking belts. The authorized Hoover repair store said nothing was wrong. I finally got someone at Hoover to tell me to cut off the cord and send it in and they would send me a new vacuum. The new one has worked perfectly. Apparently the shaft holding the belt was bent at the factory.

4 Stars Works well thus far
We were wanting a vacuum that didn’t break the bank but worked efficiently, and this vacuum fits the bill. We have had it for over a month and have used it several times. Time will tell how long it will last, but as of now it has great suction and has been able to handle the hair from two cats. The attachments are the basic attachments usually found and they work well. The vacuum is light weight and works well.

User Ratings and Reviews

4 Stars Great but a little heavy
Pros:

Powerful, sleek design, easy clean-up, pivots, cordless, energy smart, slim nose, does the job

Cons:

Felt a little heavy after entended use, a little expensive, Battery charges too long…

4 Stars sheer power
I am usually a tough reviewer of anything I purchase. This one I researched and I feel that it lives up to its billing. For sheer power and ease of use you “cannot beat it.” The product is great even on my higher pile carpet. The only reason I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars (and I said I was tough rating product) is that I would prefer that I would be able to take the unit off and use it without straigtening the nozzle. I also do not like to rate items after only 3 weeks as I feel the longevity of the item purchased should be a big part of any review.

3 Stars Too Expensive!
I was going to buy this item, but it went up in price two times in the last week.

5 Stars GREAT Product
This vacuum is great. It is lightweight and sucks hard.

Some people say it is to loud but it works and that is what matters to me.

I don’t think it is to loud. I only have it on for usually less than a minute anyway.

If they sound proof it I think it would be to heavy and useless.

I have a big tom cat and he leaves fur everywhere. This is so much easier to use than bringing

out the big vacuum with the hose attachment.

Works great on lots of little bugs too. I would recommend emptying it after so they don’t crawl back out.

I’ll probably use it on my car next. The sucker extends outward so I think it will be good for reaching all those hard to

get to places.

Keep it empty for best results, it can jam up and lose suction but it’s only because it is crammed full of garbage.

The only improvement I can see them making is an ergonomic handle but I can’t knock a star off for that because it handles well and

works great.

Buy it.

5 Stars Good investment
This worked fairly well. I love the fact that I don’t need harsh chemicals to clean and sanitize. I used this to clean my oven, and overall it did an okay job. I still had to use scrubbing muscles to get the grease completely off with a scouring pad, but for the most part, it did melt a lot of the grease away. I’ve used this on tile, grout, toilets and also removed calcium deposits from the faucets and sink areas. It just melted it away. This was a good investment.

New Ideas for Dealing With Stinking Pet Hair

March 17, 2010 by Aiden Mundt · Leave a Comment

You love your pet, but you really hate it when it comes to cleaning up all the hair they shed, right? Desperate for solutions to this hairy problem that can make life easier?

First, if it helps, you’re not alone. About 150 million pet enthusiasts have similar complaints. Your pet’s hair doesn’t spare any thing, any place or anyone. It’s found everywhere. Embedding into the carpet, sticking to furniture and even hanging on your clothing. But what can you do?

But there are some tricks of the trade for coping with it better. Since it sometimes feels like that shed fur has taken on a life of it’s own. Fortunately, there are lots of ways you can get rid of what your pet leaves behind.

Let’s start with a very easy way to get the situation under control. Take the time to brush your ever shedding pet daily. Or at least as frequently as you can. This way you can make sure that most of your pet’s hair lands in the trash and nowhere else.

But don’t expect to get ahead of shedding with brushing alone. To remove pet hair from your upholstery, you can use a moist rubber glove. You might also try a slightly damp sponge or fabric softener sheets. These require very little investment and are very useful in collecting all the stray hair. If you’re ready to spend a little more money, there are specially designed rakes, pet hair magnets and wipes that will help you eliminate the hairy mess quickly.

Vacuum manufactures feel your pain too. And most brands anymore, or so it seems, have a vacuum designed specifically to extract the hair from the carpeting. So if removing the wall to wall carpet isn’t an option, maybe such a wonder machine is. Although if you’re looking for a consensus as to which is clearly best you’re setting yourself up for disappointment.

Then if picking furniture in colors that matches the pet hair isn’t an option there are solutions like sofa covers that claim to make it easy to wash the problem away. Failing that at least go with fabrics that are easier to clean. Microfibers being but one example.

Finally there’s the hardwood floor option. Yanking out the carpet and going with that type of flooring may not eliminate the problem but at least it makes pet hair removal easier. Extreme? Yes. But an extreme to which some are willing to go to.

As you can see solutions to this furry problem our four legged friend present abound. Aside from banishing your beloved pet to life outdoors, which solution is best often comes down to a couple of things. How much you want to spend. And how much time you want to invest in keeping a head of your pet’s lost hair.

Roomba 532 Robotic Vacuum Cleaner

The Roomba 532 Pet Series vacuum robot is specially planned to teach your cat how to do clean the house. My life is much more pleasurable when Misty is in charge of the carpets. Now, if only he could get that lemon meringue recipe I taught him just right, my life would be complete. What’s more, with Dudley our pet Staffy in charge of the dirt dog, even my workshop can be as clean as a whistle.

Ok, It’s not just like that nevertheless it might as well be with the Roomba series of vacuum robots. The Roomba 532 pet series vacuum cleaning robot is an appliance for homes with pets that drop a lot of fur (Mr. Bigglesworth free zone). It has a number of design features that make it more robust in picking up hairs and easier to clean. It works and make a busy person’s life much easier.

Check out a few more details on the Roomba vacuum cleaner. In short a Roomba is possibly one of the most incredible vacuum cleaners on the market. It is a cleaner that will come on at a specified time and clean the carpets and floors. After it has done the cleaning it goes back to it’s hub to be recharged for the next days cleaning (You do have to do some maintenance, like clear the dirt or clean some of the moving parts that may become clogged with fur and other material).

The main feature of the Roomba is that it does what a good vacuum cleaner should do and cleans carpets spotlessly. You might get a superior comprehension of exactly how much it cleans when you clear its inside and you find huge amounts of dirt and dust and other stuff falling out.

Even if you set down the Roomba 532 Pet Series in a space which you have already cleaned with a vacuum cleaner you will be quite amazed how much more dirt the Roomba will pick up from the surface of the carpet or floor. This will inform you precisely how able this vacuum cleaner is at its piece of work. They are also good with floors but a Scooba is better.

With the simplicity of the iRobot skill available in the Roomba 532 vacuum cleaner, you will find it easy to clean the room everyday. Now you don’t have to wait alternate days or do cleaning twice a week. And this can be done without having to interrupt your busy schedule !

This is because this Roomba 532 will do the graft for you and make keeping the house clean a doddle. On a daily basis clean-up of dust leaves the abode feeling airy and you will be able to get pleasure from a lovely and healthy ambiance that is absolutely absent of aggravating dust or pollen. The Roomba 532 can even clean under furniture quite easily so there is nothing to worry about. Whether its dining tables or beds, or even chairs and sofas, this vacuum cleaner will go everywhere and make the surface clean for you.

Another major boon of the Roomba 532 is that it can be scheduled to come on when you are at work or even snoozing peacefully at night . Brush the sleep form your eyes and wake up to a spotless home. The Roomba 532 is a very intelligent cleaner, it will go most places with the minimum of fuss but as a sensible precaution always remove objects, like wires and cables, that may cause it to get snagged and let the Roomba have at it.

Eureka 71B Hand Held Vacuum

Eureka Hand-Held Vacuum Cleaner - Eureka 71B

User Ratings and Reviews

5 Stars Surprisingly Impressed!
My husband wanted to get this little hand vacuum because our fluffy siberian cat leaves a lot of fur on the steps, and it’s hard to drag the big vacuum up and down the stairs. Well, I read all the excellent reviews and was pretty sure it had to be a good product. The only thing that made me kind of skeptical was the fact that I couldn’t seem to find this product in ANY store except Amazon.

Well, this hand vacuum is much better than our Dyson! The sucking action is beyond impressive. It just takes one try to get all the fur and dirt out of the carpet. I couldn’t even believe how much stuff this vacuum picked up! The sucking is so strong that I have to hold the vacuum with both of my hands to use it… but thankfully my husband does the vacuuming so I don’t have to worry about the drag being too difficult. I just hope this vacuum always stays as good as it is now. Only time will tell.

4 Stars Great for Pets!
This product is great on my cloth couches, especially trying to get off the pet hair from my yellow lab. My only complaint about this vacuum is the dust cup, it gets really dirty really quickly and needs to be emptied frequently. This vacuum is easy to use, handy, lightweight, great for stairs, and an all around great buy. I highly recommend it.

1 Star Shipping
Do not order this product through Picnic World Plus, they ship by Pony Express and my pony apparently only has three legs. I hope this vacuum works when I get it next year.

3 Stars Powerful, but too heavy
I bought this hand vac because I didn’t want to lug out my vacuum cleaner every time I wanted to get pet hair off my furniture. It works really well in terms of removing pet hair and the suction is great, however I still find myself using my regular vacuum a lot instead for three reasons.

1) It’s pretty heavy! I’m no weakling, but when I have to do a couple of couches and a rug, it starts to get hard. That’s why it’s often to use my regular vac’s turbo brush since you’re not carry the motor with you.

2) The cord is annoying. This device would be sooo much better if they designed it with a retractable cord. As it is now, the cord doesn’t stay wrapped in the space provided. I wanted a corded vac because I already have a Dirt Devil Kone and it’s not as powerful, but I just wish you could store the cord in a more convenient fashion.

3) The bagless cup doesn’t empty very easily. Most of the dirt sticks to the filter cup, and I find myself using a used dryer sheet to loosen the dirt.

Anyway, it works well enough that I don’t see any reason in returning it, but I do wish I had bought the Bissell Pet Hair Eraser instead. Oh well.

2 Stars Bewildered by all the great reviews…
I’m a little bewildered by all the good reviews for this vacuum - maybe I just got a dud. It worked great the first few times I used it, but now that I’ve had it for a few months, it has pretty much stopped working altogether. The last time I used it, I noticed that nothing I sucked up seemed to be going into the dust bin. When I turned it off and picked it up… everything I had sucked up fell out onto the rug. I’m really disappointed in this product.
