I needed a small vacuum to use near my model train set-up. After looking at many reviews I decided to give this one a try. I am not disappointed. It is powerful, easy to clean out, and with its pivoting nose design, allows me to get to every little bit of debris I want to remove from the train table. An added feature, a thin extension from the nose nozzle, allows getting into tight places with some ease. Despite being a bit loud, I do not hesitate to recommend this device for small clean-up projects in a workshop or anywhere else around the house.

Works pretty well, powerful, easy to use. Use to suck up cat hair from around my laptop, out of DVD slot. Only wish they would design it so vacuum nozzle tips could remain on vacuum in its charging stand. Must remove any tips to allow charging, a minor hassle.

Have had this for about a month and I love it. Very powerful - used it to pickup the pine needles from our Christmas Tree (which my upright couldn’t do). I use it for just about everything. 2 power settings are great, easy to empty.

This product was reviewed as being the best by Consumer Reports, which prompted me to consider it. I find it to be absolutely excellent. Battery power is strong and lasts for long jobs….such as cleaning out the car. Maintenance is easy as well.

5 Stars It’s so Easy!
You’d think that finding bags for the popular Hoover Wind Tunnel Vacuum Cleaner would be a snap, but that’s not the case. About a year ago I searched all over and finally found them at Sears. To top it off, they were real expensive. Well, this year I ran out again and it became an emergency. My wife said to check the Vacuum cleaner bag as she thought it was probably full. I checked and, sure enough, it was almost full. Well, we had a party coming up that night and a lot of housekeeping to do in a short time. I tried a few places and no Type Y bags. One store carried them, but was temporarily out. OK, I just continued to vacuum with a full bag and finally got the job done in time for the party.
The next day, when cleaning up, I found a few new bags at a True Value Hardware Store. Well, the vacuum bag was not only full, the hose was full almost half way. Groan. Never again. It was then that I thought of the internet for bag shopping. Sure enough, all kinds were available on Amazon and the price was right. Kiss my vacuum bag problems goodbye! Why didn’t I think of this before?

5 Stars Great Vacuun bag
This is a very good vacuum bag at a very good price. It is the only way to purchase vacuum bags if you change your bags out frequently. I have ordered all of the Type Y bags Amazon has to offer and so far they all seem to preform the same, so I usually look for the best price at the time.
5 Stars Convenient and easy to use features
Everything is available at your fingertips with this vacuum. We had our old vacuum (another Hoover) for 8 years and it just died, so I can appreciate all of the upgrades the Hoover vacuum has made over the years. I love the hose, that can easily stretch to the top of my stairs. I also like the attachments which are easy change on and off since they pop right into the front and back of the vacuum. One of the attachments is a miniature beater that you can attach at the end of the hose and it is just like a mini-vacuum that has the spinning rotors- it is great for fabric, like couches. It has great power and I use the hose to dust and clean everything, the tops of picture frames, the fireplace mantel, the babies highchair, ect. It even runs a little quieter than our old vacuum. It is also easy to clean the chamber, it pops right out, empties easily and pops in, with no mess. And most important our carpets look very clean after running this vacuum. It is pretty heavy still, but I gladly put up with that since it is so functional and easy to use.

First off, this is too complicated in reviewing sweeper bags. How about just using a multiple choice like most vendors.
The shipment came in a very timely manner as promised. The product is excellent and I will certainly reorder the same bags through Amazon com. The price was great and the shipping was free which amounted to one free package of 9 bags.

We have allergy problems with pet hair so I have to vacuum once a week and can’t reuse the bag which after a week contains decomposing pet hair. This product is, from my research, a best buy and I buy 4 packages at a time.

5 Stars Great Product For The Money- Recommend It
I needed to replace my vacuum, and decided to go way cheaper after reading reviews.Have always had a Hoover. Great product, does the job, and does it well- I have four cats to determine my assessment on suction–sucks up cat hair with ease. As for complaints about noise, not a problem, as it sounds like other vacuums to me. It is light and easy to move around. Geat buy for the money.
5 Stars Nice power for the price
This is the second Hoover Tempo vacuum that we have purchased and the first is still running strong. The main reason for purchasing was because of the Tempo’s ability to pick up dog hair. It does a great job at this even after many years of use. Our old Hoover Tempo still does a great job cleaning the carpets and tile. The vacuum comes with hand nozzle and the standard attachments. Belt life is fairly standard with other vacuums that we have owned and durability is quite good for being mostly hard plastic. On our older Tempo, we have replaced the brush roller and something to do with the surface height adjusting. I believe one or both of these repairs were covered on the warranty. The only addition we have had to add to the vacuum was a 12 foot extension cord. Easy to store and easy to use makes this a great buy in a vacuum.
3 Stars Not what I expected, considering the great reviews
I really take all the reviews on this site very seriously. Considering the amount of reviews on this product, I thought this would really be a good vacuum for everyday, at home, vacuuming. I have to say, it has great suction. It actually has so much, if you are using the attatchments, when you pull the hose away from whatever you are vacuuming, it comes off. It also warns you on the front of the vacuum, that the motor may shut down if it overheats. I was vacuuming a chair, which uses strong suction for a woven material, and it did shut itself off. I think maybe this vacuum has suction that is too strong, if it’s going to overheat in 5 minutes of using! The belt actually broke today, when nothing major got run over. The funny thing is, that I just bought it yesterday!! (at Best Buy, because I really needed it right away). The price is actually better on Amazon, which I do love! I did call the company, and they are sending me 2 belts free of charge, but honestly, I’m not thrilled with the product, and don’t believe that I will keep it. As far as it’s cleaning ability, I believe it does the job. But unfortunately, it makes the job more complicated than it should be.

It may not have all the bells & whistles, but what it does, it does well. We’ve been using it for over a month now. We have a mixture of hardwood, carpeted and vinyl floors. Suction is good, as is the height adjustment. The only complaint is that the hose is a bit short.
4 Stars Good bang for the buck!
Just so you know where I’m coming from, this vacuum was purchased to replace a 10 year old upright. My old 10 year old vacuum was working horribly. It wasn’t picking up anything and it was a total workout to use. Upon throwing it away, I ripped it apart to fit it into a standard trash bag and found out that the brush belt was broken, so the brush wasn’t spinning at all. Lesson learned, keep your vacuum properly maintained. Onto the new vacuum.
This new vacuum is extremely basic. And what I mean by basic is that it doesn’t have allot of frills; things like lights or indicators, like the more expensive models. I don’t really need any of that stuff. I just need a good working vacuum, and this fit the bill.
Putting it together was simple. Not too terrible. It was put together in less than 15 minutes. Again, once you put it together, you won’t be blown away. It’s extremely basic looking. What can you expect for $76.50, shipped?
I have three bedrooms and an office with carpeting. All the carpets are fairly new, about 2 years old.
I was pleasantly surprised at how well this vacuum worked. There is no doubt that this thing can get the job done. The brush was really strong and helped facilitate in pushing the vacuum forward, made it an absolute breeze to vacuum all my carpets. It picked up anything and everything that was on the carpet. I’ve had it for over a month and I do the carpets at least one a week. Sometimes, I’ll just take it out to do a nice quick cleaning.
The brush on this is very strong. I have thick pile and you can hear the motor working when I set the brush low. I don’t want to work the motor too much so I raise the brush a little. The suction on this is very strong as well. The cord is long enough for me, no complaints.
I’m about to purchase an extension hose, bags and belts. The extension hose on this unit is not very long at all. Maybe 4-5 feet max? Maybe six. It just doesn’t seem long enough, the reason I’m buying an extension.
In closing, I would definitely recommend this unit to anyone looking for a cheap, basic, good working vacuum. I think for the money, and how well it works, you just can’t go wrong. I gave it 4 stars. If it weren’t so cheap looking, I would have given it 5 stars. But, don’t let that deter your consideration. I would buy it again.
By the way, the only reason I had even considered this unit was because Consumer Reports gave it a favorable score. It was the 5th best vacuum on their list. And Hoover had five vacuum’s in the top ten, which boded well for them.
