4 Stars Good value but wear your raingear!
I used this on my twill-covered sofas. It did a great job lifting old stains out, including peanut butter and jelly, ink, and goodness knows what else from my kids. (I’d rather not think about it.) I read the reviews on Amazon beforehand, so I knew to expect a short range of motion (not a problem) and a lot of rogue spraying. I put down some old towels beforehand but I still managed to make quite a mess.

3 Stars Mediocre
We are a foster home for dogs and the carpet has seen its share of accidents. This machine does a decent job at cleaning spots, but the suction isn’t that great and I feel it isn’t reaching deep enough to get up all the mess. Plus, emptying the dirty container is a messy business and the brush o the attachment hose gets all funked up with lint and pet hair, even if you vaccuum beforehand.

2 Stars nothing great
I bought this to pick up spills from my cat. The unit sprays the cleaning solution very wide and there is no way to clean a small spot without spraying it like 4 inches wide if not wider than that. The cleaning is fair. I have had to re-clean most things more than once. I’d buy something else next time.

1 Star We returned it right after we looked at it out of the box
We have been using this type of cleaner for more than 10 years and the type of cleaner in general is very useful invention. When we bought this, we were expecting some design improvement over our 10 year old one. But like many products nowadays, design for the look changed a lot, not for the functionality.

This type of cleaner tends to deal with all kind of dirty situation and if you see narrow plastic gaps under the liquid container, difficult to clean, you probably do not even want to try to clean after a few years. The clear container looks clean now. But only way of cleaning inside is to put liquid and just shake, and the container has lot of plastic structure and pipe inside, I could easily see it having all kind of unpleasant colors appearing soon or later.

And with such bulky size, and only a small container, you would probably be busy discharging and refilling the tanks looking for new solution in the middle of accident on your carpet. Having raised two children and living with two dogs now, I feel that I would rather look for potentially better designed one than buying this at this point.

1 Star MESSY AND RATHER POINTLESS
By the time I finished using Bissell’s Little Green carpet cleaning machine, I realized it would have taken less time if I’d just taken an old toothbrush, a bottle of spot cleaner, and scrubbed the stains out. That would have saved me the fifteen extra minutes it took to empty and clean the water tanks, the nozzle, and the cleaning head. I could have used old towels to blot the damp carpet, which is what I ended up doing, anyway, because Little Green is little help sucking up the water left in the rug. The spray of cleaning solution shoots in two different directions. [Very funny, Bissell.] I’m still wondering what the “Heater” is for, because it sure didn’t facilitate drying and the water didn’t stay warm for very long. Lastly, I’d have forgiven all of that if it had delivered an impressive cleaning; it didn’t. With the mixing, the messy water tanks, the scrubbing, and the additional clean-up, I have to wonder what was the point.
